Very rude. They tend to forget that we, the citizens, actually pay their wages. But if you say something about this, it's always then don't break the law. Sometimes people get charged & convicted for the stupidest things.

it would help so much if they took payments online. it makes life so much easier.
If you wait beyond 30 days to pay a ticket (which can happen if you request an extension), you can no longer pay online. I understand that a citation is supposed to be a punishment, and that no conveniences should be expected, but to offer a convenience and then take it away for an arbitrary reason is worse than not offering it at all, in my opinion, because at least then I could have planned properly instead of rushing down to the courthouse at the last minute.
